Most everyone that’s interested in getting into martial arts almost always asks what is the best martial arts to do and why is it the best martial arts?

You can do a quick Google search and quickly see there are quite a few martial arts options for you to pick from. Everyone knows about Karate, Kung Fu and Taekwondo, you may think of Bruce Lee wandering into a village and opening a can of whoop ass on the bad guys. There are many others too like Jiu-Jitsu,Muay Thai, boxing, Aikido, Judo, Krav Maga, Hapkido, etc. With the exception of Jiu-Jitsu, all of the other martial arts are stand up self-defenses and the primary focus is learning to fight while on your feet. Everyone should know how to defend themselves while standing, but most fights almost always end up on the ground and most stand up martial arts have a limited, if any, techniques if an altercation does go to the ground.
